  1. Im not sure how it cant be getting any fuel. I have check/cleaned it several times. Always clear passages. This isnt my first 2 stroke. But for clarification, i blow air from the back of the carb, and have air coming out the pilot jet. If i plug the pilot jet, the air will come out the port on the front side of the carb in the bore. So its clear. Stock jets. I believe they are 25's. Wouldnt a slightly twisted crank throw the timing of the spark off on the right cylinder? Isnt each crank lobe balanced to the piston/rod assembly. so individually they would still be balanced. The only imbalance may be in the forward/back direction of the throws? I havent gotten a chance to verify TDC vs BDC on the two cylinders. What is CS?
  2. I have a Banshee that I aquired, put new top end in and have been through the carbs 4 times. Bike will not start without a spray of either, then i can keep it running, but it wont idle no matter how hard i try to adjust it. partial throttle keeps it running. The left cylinder runs all the time, the right cylinder only seems to pick up and run at higher RPM. Spark is good on both cylinders as is compression. A twisted crank could explain why the right cylinder isnt seeming to fire, and also very hard to start. My jetting is all stock. Actually the entire bike is stock besides decking the head .020". Compression is around 150psi in the right cylinder, and 145 in the left. Im going to try to see if one cylinder is at TDC, if the other is at BDC, but I wanted to ask would a twisted crank cause these issues?
  3. So do guys deck there stock heads for slight bump in power? Or do a head gasket trick like on the trx250r?
  4. 110lb on right cylinder, 105lb on left cylinder. Vacuum and Pressure tested engine. No leaks at all.
  5. The engine should be broke in. I have 20-30 min of run time on it. Piston/ring clearances are all within factory spec. Bike just doesnt want to start. Seems that the compression is to low. Carbs have been cleaned and checked 3 times. All jets pulled, all passages verified. Seems to only hit on 1 cylinder most of the time. Switched spark plugs/wires, still same cylinder. I think bumping compression a little will help.
  6. I just rebuilt this stock banshee with 1mm over pistons. It was already .5 over, and .75 wouldn't clean it up enough. Got it bored and gapped and put together. Compression is only 110 on 1 cylinder, and 115 on the other. Im wanting to mill the stock head some to get compression up a little. I want it to be 93 octane still. You think I can take .020 off the head and still not have any detonation issues?
  7. black and red/black are the lighter gauge wires. The solid red and brown are the heavier gauge.
  8. I need to know how to bypass the key. I have two different people telling me two different things. Can any one definitively tell me how to bypass the key switch?
  9. i dont have a black/red. I have a black, black/white, red, and a brown. Unplugging the TORS didnt help.
  10. I got a 2000 banshee that has no spark. I found the key switch was broken when i tried to turn it on. So i bypassed it temporarly. I tied the red and brown wires together and the two black wires. Still no spark. I ohm checked the stator and it checks out good per my manual. Is there any other common things to check on these? Im not sure how to check the coil on this, the book i have doesnt describe what to check on it very well. The bike appears to be 100% stock, no pipes, still has twin carbs. I did pull them and clean them. Havent installed them yet. The WOT sensors are still plugged in. And yes the thumb switch is on. Thank you in advance.
