  1. Yea exactly, I want to be able to launch my bike and actually be able to put down the little power I have. I have been running my bike with typical mx tires and launching in first gear and i know my bike is spinning and not really getting much traction until i get into about 3rd gear with my current tire setup. The terrain we are racing in is a mix of sand with maybe some dirt but it feels soft and currently i feel I am not even able to be competitive at all.
  2. I want to put some sand paddle tires on my bike for drag racing and also match it with the correct gearing. I have a stock cc bike with stock swing arm and am not sure about what size tire/brand or the sprockets i need. I appreciate any and all suggestions.
  3. I have the airbox and the clips on the side of it, Ill snap a picture tomorrow im installing a new harness right now.
  4. Dam i wish some one would post a picture my stator harness rubbed on my pipes and melted the plug a little and i think it was just routed wrong.
  5. I am looking to order a set of paddle for my bike, I am not sure what what size or brand paddle i should buy. I have a stock swing arm stock gearing setup on my bike and i would like to get the best size that is not to small but is not to big. I am also interested in pro wedge tires but I only can find the 4 snow tires and cant seem to find the pro wedge tires.
  6. I was mixing at 32:1 and I am using Klotz super techniplate. The way you just explained it actually gave me a way better understanding of the air fuel mixture.
  7. Here is the first test runs on it, It felt really good I still need to plug chop it but i was eager to see how it ran. Thanks every one who has given me advice this is the best it has ran since i got it.
  8. Ok today I drained out the 32:1 gas and got it filled up with 40:1 then i continued on with syncing the carbs under tension and have them both dead nuts equal. I put the boots back on and the airbox and got it all together and rode it in my small yard and she rips hard even tho i can only full throttle it for a second it was clean and crisp with no bog. I live in one of the most densely populated cities in florida so we dont have much area to ride locally without the cops showing up but I do plan to head to an industrial area tonight where I will be able to open it up and stretch it out so i can start doing the plug chops and jet swapping.
  9. are you using stock a arms? if so i had to do some cutting on them to get the shocks to fit without hitting.
  10. Im about to go out and finish the carb sync I just went and got some 93 non ethanol gas 18 bucks for 5 gallons so not bad. I am thinking about mixing it 40:1 do you guys think that will be fine and when you start chaning the oil/fuel mix does that have an effect on the jetting?
  11. im gonna go pull off the stator cover and move it to back to plus 4 i remember it had the stock bolts on it. The line i go off of is the case split line right?
  12. I can amazon prime it for saturday, I think with thanksgiving going on tomorrow they may be closed. do you think its that big of a deal if its 6 and not 4?
  13. I looked at my timing plate and i think the guy has it set to +6 what do you guys think should i pull the stator cover off and confirm the timing on it? I dont have a flywheel pulling tool so i would have to order one if i need to back it off.
  14. yea I did move it back to the middle. tomorrow i will try and take a video of it.
  15. Ok so got the jets in the mail early today, so the setup i put in them is a 27.5 pilot and 320 main. I got the carbs on the bike today and set the idle with the sync tool and i have both carbs at idle on 5 on the sync tool. I have not rode it yet as i still need to sync the slides and put the air box and stuff back on. I will say she free revs super crisp and both pipes are smoking evenly and both are getting equally hot. Tomorrow i will sync the slides and put the rest of the stuff back on and take her out and test ride it and start changing the main jet. On a side not I also got both my new trail tech lights working so that is nice, I feel like im making some really good progress on the bike.
  16. Well After talking with these guys i have decided to go the stock carb route, I have bought jets, carb rebuild kit and billet bowls to make my jet change easy. If i still cant get these stockers going ill bite the bullet and get the 28pwks
  17. no it feels like it has nothing then bam it comes on hard.
  18. an even 135 psi in both my cylinders is that acceptable?
  19. Tricked the only thing i can think is, The kit i ordered was supposed to come with 22 cc domes, I for sure read on them 19cc but maybe it was engraved wrong. I honestly dont know about how my motor is ported as i have not see any pictures or have any to post. I will be doing a leak down test tho very soon maybe i can take some pictures when i have the pipes off if that will tell you anything. Another thing is maybe the guy who built my motor did not put in the 19cc domes as i told him i wanted to run pump gas he may have switched them to a different set then what i had given him.
  20. The compression tester is one i got from autozone it is a little bit shorter then a spark plug I have the carbs off so i did not have to hold the throttle open Im at sea level, im in florida on the gulf coast.
  21. The only thing i can think is maybe the builder i used did not put those 19cc domes in it, The other thing is maybe BP racing had them engraved incorrectly. The domes where supposed to be 22cc domes but it for sure was engraved with 19cc on it. I dont know about the port timings so i can give any info on that.
  22. Ok guys the compression test results are in, it has 135 psi in both jugs.
  23. as 375 said im in pinellas near tampa
