  1. $350 shipped. 14.75" eye to eye, fresh rebuild with new seals, orings, oil, nitrogen, and powder coat. I did scuff the inside of one spring installing and one bump stop has a couple very small cracks around the lip (see pictures). Everything functions as it ahould, 100% ready to bolt on and ride. 2. Anyone that rebuilds shocks should be able to do them, parts are readily available. I can do them if you want to ship them to San Diego. PM me if you're interested.
  3. Swingarm shop arms are junk. Alba arms are usually good but poor quality control so you can get unlucky. Fireball arms and swingarm are the the best value in my opinion.
  4. You should get a banshee engine built by someone that knows what they're doing. An R1 engine will make it slow, heavy and unreliable. A street bike motor on a drag bike is a bad idea. A street bike motor in a trail bike is a horrible idea.
  5. If it's leaking fuel out of the overflow with the petcock turned off it's time for a new seal in the petcock. Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
  6. Doubtful the running out of fuel is a needle/seat issue. You could need new ones but it they were worn you would have a fuel surplus and not deficit. Try taking the gas cap off and see if the problem goes away. Some vent hoses or caps will cause this problem. Next I would check the screen on the petcock inside the tank. They do clog up and cleaning it should be part of regular maintenance. On a side note, you shouldn't leave your petcock on when the bike is sitting.
  7. I'm with Keno. It wasn't a problem with the oil you used. Need to start diagnosing properly which means buying or borrowing a compression gauge.
  8. Happy to help. Kenny is a good dude and makes pipes for very reasonable prices.
  9. Facebook.... https://www.facebook.com/kenny.roberts.7127
  10. Agreed. I don't trust any state I can't pump my own gas in.
  11. Kenny Roberts makes hand coned pipes, is in CA and last I checked was much cheaper than LED. Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
  12. For the forth time, yes Shearer, lol. Shearer will be the best value pipe that are readily available. If you happen upon Snipers snag them but don't do CPI. CPI sign off too early for racing. Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
  13. $550 is mid to high range for used CPI. If you were building a trail motor I'd say go for it. For a hillshooter you're making a bad choice. You can easily find Shearers for the same price. Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
  14. Used snipers are almost non existent and go for twice that of Shearers if you can find them. New the price is the same but you don't get chrome with sniper and the wait for Snipers is unknown. I know people that have been on the wait list for over a year and production is currently stopped. If you think you'll order a set and have them in a few weeks you'll be disappointed. On a side note, if you're going to have them chromed do it immediately. After the first time you start the bike with them the number of shops that will chrome them goes way down and the price way up. I own all three sets of the pipes we're discussing. Every motor is different but Im very confident Shearers will make equivalent power up top to the Snipers although you'll loose a little down low. For a hillshooter CPI shouldn't be in the discussion imo. Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
  15. If you have a couple years to wait and twice the budget those would likely be as good or better.
  16. Definitely Shearer for your application. Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
  17. The stock tank is the largest tank you can use covers on. They're about 3.2 gallons. Call West Coast ATV and they'll get you setup with a good used tank. As a side note. Your BP 411 is most likely a 397. BP uses deceptive marketing, advisertising high end parts and sending cheap ones known for premature failure as well as telling you the engine will be larger than it actually is. I'd recommend you go with another place for future parts needs. Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
  18. Yes. And they are flimsy junk. I'm not an Alba hater, they have lots of parts that are nice for the price. The nerf bars are not one of them.
  19. Just bought several parts from PaymentPlan. Good communication, parts were nicely packaged and as described. Buy with confidence, he's a great seller.
  20. Gusto is correct, 135psi is perfect for pump gas and running race fuel on a play bike is expensive for no real reason. Who is your builder? If your builder told you to run race fuel at 135psi ask again to make sure you didn't misunderstand. That would be a very odd setup. Save your money and build a bigger engine if you want more power. 0.015" squish is stupid tight. You should be about three times that. Squish band and dome size are two different things. You can get smaller cc domes cut with the same squish but again its a waste of money in my opinion.
  21. West Coast ATV Parts or Redo Banshee. You have to be in the right place at the right time to find a complete running motor for under $1000ish.
  22. Heat, oil, left hand bits and lots of patience. I'd call a couple more machine shops, if they can't get it out you might be sol.
  23. $3500 for the whole build or the motor? You're definitely money ahead either way to buy a complete bike and build it the way you want. Building one from a bare frame for $3500 will be impossible using the right parts. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  24. I'm going to use the swingarm until I can find a longer one. I like it, just a little short for 100hp+.
