  1. I had an Airstriker on my 250R and really liked it...
  2. I was told when I purchased mine that the AirStriker has quad vents and directional fins on the bell intake side of the carb. AS was designed to reduce "bogging" after jumps and to provide a crisper throttle response through 1/4 throttle.
  3. Really? OK I'll try some straight old 91 octane then.
  4. Would I be safe going down to 27.5 on the pilot with my current setup. When I adjust my air screws my idle keeps going up a little when I back them out. It idles higher at 2.5-3 turns out then it does at 2.-1 turn out. I thought I read on here that if it does that then the pilot needs to go down one size until you get it around 1.5 on the air screw... Thanks
  5. I have a 250R that I mix 50/50 with. That's why I have been using it. Probably a little over kill for the Banshee with the current mods.
  6. Finally got around to doing a plug chop last weekend after a few modifications that I got from Jeff at FAST. Trying to get the jetting dialed in. What do you all think so far? Engine warmed up on old plugs. New plugs installed and ran WFO for one pass. 2006 SE Temp: 90 degrees Elevation: 1000' St Joe MO Stock carbs Pilot jet: 30 I might bump these down to a 27.5 to crisp up the bottom end a little Main: 310 Needle: stock middle positon A/S: 1.5 turns Carbs synched with carb tool from Jeff Klotz 32:1 50/50 race fuel/91 octane Toomey 2-1 air fliter with outerwear FAST billet adjustable timing +5 Noss/FAST head 21cc domes Fatty pipes for now Vforce4 reeds Compression: 149/147 Stock jugs/bore with no porting In-line temp gauge installed after the head: Runs betwwen 160-170 degrees Serval 421 upcoming this winter
  7. Savage, I'm still trying to figure it out. I do have those Alba instructions and tried following them. The arms went on really easy with no real issues. Right now I just have the stock shocks on it. I planned on getting some LT shocks but I decided to wait until I get this alignment figured out. Yeah if you have some measurements or anything that might help that would be great...
  8. I measured the distance from the A-arm ball joints to the frame and it was only about 1/16"- 3/32" difference.
  9. I'm pretty sure the rims are on the right way. They are Douglas beadlocks. All of the valve stems are on the outside. I'll try and get some measurements tonight of the ball joints. It's kind of tough trying to get an exact measurement from the center of the frame though. Here are a couple of pictures of the front A-arms. Maybe I've got them on wrong possibly.
  10. Yea I just don't know what else to go off of besides the rear tires. I would hope the axle isn't bent. It's brand new. I suppose the swingarm could be. Maybe I'll just have to buy a new swingarm and see if that helps it any. I'm at a lose...
  11. Just purchased a 2006 banshee this spring. Was pretty much all stock besides the pipes and reeds. Decided to start upgrading. Bought some new Douglas beadlock rims, Maxxis tires, and Alba +2 A-arms. I installed the A-arms, rims, tires and everything went together pretty smoothly. My issue is when I went to do the front end alignment. First off the quad pulls to the left super hard. As soon as I let my hands off of the bars it darts straight left. I started off by using a stringline off of the rear tires for the alignment. I set the camber at a -1 and the toe-in at 1/16"-1/8". The problem that I'm finding is that there is about a 1" difference from the right side front tires and the left side front tires in relationship to the rear tires. I have tried countless different measurements to try and figure out what is causing this. I even went ahead and bought a new Tusk extended axle in hopes that the stock axle was jacked up. I replaced the carrier bearings as well. I also replaced the stock handlebars thinking that they were bent possibly. So far nothing has helped. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'll try and attach some pictures to help show what is going on..... Thanks in advance.
