  1. no there was no backfire at all. thats what i would of thought also
  2. no they are not melted. they looked like there kind of ripped because of being forced the opposite direction.
  3. honestly don't know they were on the bike when i got it.
  4. I recently rebuilt the top end of my banshee. Worked great and then we moved more in the country were i could ride it more. I was coming back and i lost some power but then it would be fine then it died and never started again. So I'm taking it back apart thinking had to be the top end again. I took off the reeds and the one on the left cylinder is completely blown back. Im still new to most of the repairs on these atvs. would this cause the bike not to start? I didn't want to mess with the top end again if i didn't have to especially since it hasn't been that many hours on it. any help will be appreciated. Thanks
  5. I was driving my banshee which is first one i owned and was just cruising along and it acted if it didn't want to stay on really bad hesitation with throttle then died. Started right back up worked for awhile did the same thing again. This time I just parked it and left it sit overnight. Now it won't start at all. Does anyone know what this could be or mean. Thanks
  6. right now they are both at "3" at idle. Just seems like it is not idling fast enough.
  7. Just recently bought the carb sync tool and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the vacuum should read on a pair of stock carbs at idle and warmed up?
  8. Ok got rid of tors not it will idle sounds pretty good but i noticed that the right cylinder is pushing more exhaust then the left. Keep in mind this is my first banshee so I'm experiencing this all for the first time. What can I do in order to even it out to where its right. Thanks
  9. No I have never rebuilt the bottom end. I just bought it and knew it needed a top end. So I know none of the stuff that was done to it before I got it a month ago.
  10. Thanks for all the responses. I was frustrated that that day so stopped working on it and went out of town for Memorial weekend. like i said before i left i disconnected the TORS and I was able to get it to idle. So I'm going to purchase the eliminator kit in the next couple of weeks and give that a try. It takes for ever to get it started but once its started it only takes one kick. If i let it sit for around a hour I'm right back at where I was on kicking trying to get it started. Do they sell something you hook up to it to measure RPM's?
  11. what would be a good starting point on the idle screw? Do you start when the screw seated? like the air/fuel screw
  12. finally got TORS disconnected not it will idle but again it is idling way to high. I also changed jets to see if it would make a difference. I put in 290 and 27.5 but still idling high like when i had 310 and 30 in it. Its becoming frustrating so took a break from it. any info would be much appreciated.
  13. Got my jets this morning put them in and now it won't idle at all no matter where i set the screw. I can keep it running as long as I'm pushing the throttle but no luck getting it to idle at all tried idle screw in what seems like every position with no luck. I do have a carb sync tool got that today to with the jets. It does suck waiting on the mail but if you need it you need it. lol.
