  1. I know this thread is pretty old and crusty but figured I'd just say I got it all rebuilt-magnum crank, 66 mil Wiseco prolites, gaskets, etc. after that I broke it in, took it for a spin, gut raped the piss out of it one last time then traded it the next day for a yz450f. I loved my banshee but doubt I'll ever own another lol
  2. The rod has up and down play on it. Also the side to side play is way worse on the left than the right
  3. I'm not sure if it's the stock crank or not. It's stock stroke but idk about the brand. The right rod says w and the left rod says x. Is that stock? I didn't really inspect it very close
  4. Well I have bad news. Just got done tearing the top end down only to find that the left piston is chewed up on the top, as well as the head and the rings are destroyed. The right side is near perfect but the left side has some play on the crank. What the hell am I going to do??? I've never replaced a crank and I don't even know how much it will cost. Somebody help me here. Do I need a new crank? How much are they and what kind should I get and how hard are they to replace? This really bums me out cuz I'm only 16 and I don't have much cash at the moment.
  5. Ok so I just got home and checked the plugs. They were both pretty dirty, but I put my thumb over the top of the left cylinder, no compression. Right cylinder has some, but left is non existent. It wouldn't even start. Should I start tearing it down to look at the pistons?
  6. How often should I change the tranny oil, what should I put in it, and how do I check the radiatior and what do I put in that? This is my first banshee ever, first 2 stroke, first liquid cooled bike. I need to know the basics.
  7. I've got some spares under my seat but they're pretty old and gritty. I'll check about it tomorrow.
  8. I'll check them tomorrow after I get out of school. What kind of plugs should I get if it's fouled?
  9. Well I just took off on a little ride on my banshee. I started it up, let it warm up for a while and went down the road to some trails. When I got there I stopped and pulled the clutch in to cross a mud hole slowly, but my banshee just died. It wouldn't start back without giving it gas while kicking. It's never done this to me before, won't idle or start right. After this I turned and rode back to my house. When I got in my yard it felt really weak and smoke was only coming from the right pipe. I wasn't even riding it hard at all why would it do this? On the way it felt fine till I stopped. It's dark right now and it's still hot so I just put her away and came inside. It's not locked up but do I need a new top end? It's never fouled a plug before but could that be it? I'm really worried about it could someone please help me out as to what's wrong? I'd really appreciate it...
  10. Also the frame and a arms have been bed linered. It's got some rust on the pipes is there anything I do for that? Also need some good grips lol the ones on it say shwin. Pretty ghetto bicycle grips lol but I only paid 1400 for it and it came with some old axles and a couple swing arms, back plastic, tusk oil seals, a couple sets of reed spacers, and a brand new clutch cable.
  11. A few weeks back I bought a banshee with quite a few nice bolt on parts. K&n air filter, 28 mil pwk carbs, boost bottle, and toomey t5 pipes and silencers. It supposedly has an overbore from the last rebuild but I'm not sure. It also has nerf bars, a big bumper, pro taper bars, and a B.A.D. Saddle seat. Since I got it I've put a new clutch cable on it, cleaned the air filter, and replaced a bunch of missing bolts. It currently needs some new tires and a set of headlights. This is my first banshee and I'm wondering if there's anything special I need to know about them? I mix klotz super techniplate at 32:1 and take pretty good care of it.
