  1. HAHA rub it in rub it in. but your absolutely right. i ended up using a hand held flimsy pipe snake and some water from the hose and got everything out. so i got a break in period done today and sheered my flywheel key, went up to hardware store and got another one. had to do some trimming with a grinder but got it to fit perfect. ill order the right flywheel key but it works temorarily. anywho this thing rips and sounds amazing. looks great. i tried uploading pics but it tells me file is too large. not bad. im extremely happy with this banshee. its perfect for how i ride and where i ride except that i havent got to open it up at all yet limited space which is fine. id rather run it hot let it sit run it hot and let it sit to break it in real nice. once i trust its ready to go for some longer distance ill open it up more. legsa shakin and adrenalinesa pumpin
  2. YOU WERE DEAD ON> USED A PIPE SNAKE AND SOME HOT WATER LOTS OF EFFORT AND WALA> IT FREAKIN STARTED GUYS IM THE HAPPIEST BANSHEE OWNER TODAY THANK YOU SO MUCH
  3. NO SHIT I TOOK THE HEADER OFF AGAIN> NEST. THANKS GUYS> I BET THIS IS THE PROBLEM. I GUESS MINERAL SPIRITS MISLEAD ME. ill let you know after i get this mess out of the pipe if it runs
  4. whats the best way to clear it out he header was soaked full with mineral spirits
  5. I WENT THROUGH THEM CLEANED THEM AND THE BOLT SPOTS EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL BOLTS TO
  6. changed the carbs around today. still no change. the right cylinder still didnt fire so i know my carbs are working. ive been through the right side cylinder also to recheck rings and which way the arrow was facing on the piston while being in there i dried all the fuel out so i know its not flooded. new plug. choke tube was hooked up. IT HAS TO BE ELECTRICAL> stator cdi or coil. can i rule out coil if i swap the plug wires and still only left side wants to run. seems to me to be a pick up off the flywheel stator problem or cdi. IM REALLY CURIOUS IF I SWITCHED PLUG WIRES AND BOTH RAN THE RIGHT CYLINDER THEN LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THERES NO SPARK ISSUE, BUT WHAT IM CURIOUS ABOUT CAN THE PLUG BE STEALING OR ROBBING SPARK FROM ONE THE OTHER PLUG WIRE. OR THIS SOUND MORE CDI RELATED. I REALLY HONESTLY BELIEVE AND TRUST MY MOTOR WORK IS GOOD. SOUNDS LIKE FLYWHEEL TRANSMITTING PROBLEM. I DUNNO IM LOST. PLEASE HELP.
  7. I will do this ASAP. its been raining here a lot so i didnt wanna pull it out. ILL GET BACK TO YOU WITH RESULTS> i didnt even think to try this yet doh!
  8. IT WAS EVEN A THOUGHT TO ME WHICH IS WHY IT DIDNT BOTHER ME TO TAKE THE HEAD OFF AND DOUBLE CHECK>which is when i just pulled the right cylinder again checked the cylinder also
  9. guess i should also state the rod being broke didnt cause any major damage to the case. little dings but they were cleaned up by my friend who does polish work and such and that if i put one plug wire on the right side with no plug on the left it wont fire the right cylinder on its own
  10. when i got the quad it was blown up. the crank rod was snapped on the right side and piston seized. the left side piston was like new but both cylinders were rusted so i sent them out for a new bore and hone sent back from machinist with a new piston kit matched.
  11. I am also going to mention i have had a local mechanic/friend on the phone telling him all my steps and all my concerns. discussed the whole issue. hes stumped as well. wants to pick it up to look at it but i dont believe thats neccisary. i wouldnt mind starting from scratch tryin to fix it. but lets rule out piston direction. i dont have the means or knowledge how to do a proper leakdown test. but i did replace every gasket and seal and bearing in this thing and applied a light film of permatex black around the case surfaces. i completely ran every inch of this engine through a parts cleaner also before rebuilding it so i know grease grime finger oil anything is off it. motor looks brand new inside and out no dings in surfaces that joint. i really have doubts on leaks. reed cages have gaskets and tight. clamps on everything. so im really leaning towards weak spark and maybe a carb issue
  12. as far as a leakdown test i know 100% there are no leaks. im ruling out the leak down test. as far as the fuel sitting in there. i did remove 90% that was sitting there. left it sit and put it back together. it was dry. spun crank nothing got wet and had a very good look see at the bottom of the case. pistons are in correctly. yesterday i did swap the carb slides still only fired left side. the bowls werent mixed up during cleaning i did them seperate and individually. my reeds are good. the pick up is gaped properly. today im going to pull the flywheel and reclean the inside of the flywheel and the stator plate completely. lmao and i deffinately have the pistons in correctly. i double checked. arrows out exhaust little windows in the back. im stumped. the exhaust is no longer blocked. it was just one acorn. i even let it sit in mineral spirits and soak emptied and dried. i trimmed the coil wires already. its really weird i might be mistaken but it seems like i lose spark on the right side. but still no avail only the left side pulls enough to run. but i did think that the right side was weak to almost non existant.
