  1. I am having Arlan port and bore my cylinders a little, Some carb work, and weld and true my stock crank, and case match the cylinders. Other than that, Im not going to do much to it........ said every banshee rider ever. I dont need 100hp, she's a turd, but shes pretty! LOL
  2. Pickin them bitches up sunday, Always loved my T5's but LOVE the sound of CPI's rippin.
  3. Just looking to get you guy's opinions, whats a better pipe? I love my T5's, but I have a dude wanting to trade me CPI's for mine. Any info is appreciated guys, thanks!
  4. So, I am going to go with LED, just for the simple fact that when I called, He took the time to talk to me through the whole build and knew exactly what i was looking for, and for the fact that if I have Arlen build it, and its faster than my buddies, then I have bragging rights! LOL So, Im going to run a stock stroke, stockish bore motor, and he made me feel comfortable with the numbers he was talking about. I know it would be fun, but I dont need 100hp, 60-65 would do just fine. Thanks for your info guys. OH and I manned up and bought new a arms too, gotta powdercoat em and its time to rip!
  5. So i have a buddy that had some cylinder work done from F.A.S.T. and im not saying anything bad about them, I guess it was a night and day difference, My question is, Who would you guys reccomend out of the 2? I have heard Arlen's name for years, and have seen some of his motors run hard, they are about the same in price, both reasonable, so the price isnt a tipping point, just want to hear your feedback on the 2. Thanks
  6. Yeah, Dont do it, I tried it and the wheels lock and smash into your a arms, not fun in 4th gear. Just buy a arms if you can afford them.
  7. Can someone help me find the link to the cc chart, stroker size and bore size=? Please help me find the damn thing
  8. What gear ratio are ya'll running? Basically stock motor with bolt ons, 22" haulers I was running a 13/41 had to drop to a 12 in front, Now the bitch revs out so fast i cant hardly climb. I was thinking about going back to a 13 and maybe trying a 40 in the rear. Any advise is much appreciated guys, thanks
  9. I can do a compression check, but im not sure how to do a leakdown? Are the 19's too much for a stock motor? I was under the impression that they were the highest i could go without running straight race fuel. Would they be too much even with a ported motor, I know for a fact that its not lean with the jetting it had, it never had a lean pop or anything like that, WAY too fat, Im just looking for a reliable motor that runs good, cause puking out half way up banshee hill is unacceptable.
  10. I should mention that I am ONLY going to ride it at the dunes, Winchester, Coos, MAYBE florence
  11. alright guys, im pretty new here, bought a shee and have been building it for like 8 months, took my time and didnt rush it. The motor was wasted, so i waited till i found STOCK cylinders, 64mm and NO porting, put it all together, took it to winchester on memorial day and it was a giant turd, broke in just fine, once i broke it in I actually got on it and it would puke out at WOT and climbing hills, pulled the jets and realized i had 330 mains and 30 pilots, it also has the Toomey needles, I get that its WAY fat, So i bought some 25's and 310's, it rained and i didnt feel like riding anymore, My big question is, what jetting do you recommend? I bought some 290's and 300's. Should I run the Stock needles or keep the Toomeys, Basic bolt ons, T-5's, Coolhead W/ 19cc domes, carbon reeds w/spacers and K&N's. Help me out guys. ALSO Im wondering what direction you guys would steer me? Should I buy a stroker or just port it first?
  12. Ok, got a couple packages in the mail lately, Bars, clutch perch and lever, gaskets, bearings and seals, new domes and ring kit, tors kit, bolt kit, carrier bearings, foot pegs, brake block off, grips and a fancy new gas cap! You gotta remember that this is a ground up rebuild on a pretty stock bike. Its all comin together. Has anyone eliminated their key? Just connect the 2 wires that come from the harness? Will that affect anything else???

So 2strokes4u I have to leave the plug plugged into the harness and connect those 2 wires and just cut the rest off?

I have Black, Red, Black and white and Brown on the key side

  13. Damn bike is coming together, but i need to slow down and take my time and do it right. Need to order bearings and seals. then press out sleeves and install the new ones..... then its time to mix some race gas!!!

  14. So, if i want to eliminate my key. How do i go about that? Just cut and connect to 2 wires that go into the switch?

  15. Can someone please tell me how to upload pics on here? Ive got lots of pics of my build so far, but cant figure out how to get them on here.
