i do believe the boost bottle does help it gives a chance for the fuel and air to mix and then come back down with other fuel so the design theory is acceptable does it produce in useable or noticeable hp or tq i cant answer that based on dyno terms will when i upgrade from stock carbs i will know. I bought this kit it didn't have spacers, although the boost bottle, rubber grommets, both intake manifolds and gaskets did come in it this kit with out the proper boots on the intakes will not fit a stock carb size. needless to say without spending a shit ton of money on carbs i dont need stock bore +1 making it 375cc with 20cc domes and modquad head, Will make a new topic when i have proof that the BOOST BOTTLES actually do something ie dyno proof stock vs pro design i dont think that they went thru the r&d to cut and bend aluminum to the right sizes and all that if it did nothing.

instead of cleaning the tank try draining the bowls in both carbs take em out and clean em then after you saddle it all back up run an ounce of seafoam per gallon of gas so you clean all the varnish off the inside of the needles and main jets
