  1. I’m not sure if engine ice is any better then the other stuff out there. Some people say it helps it run a little cooler. Could be wrong though. I do know on DM cylinders they run not when on gas so anything to help keep them cooler would be beneficial Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The dmc will run fine on a serval and the setup will be great for trail riding Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Go 4 mil serval. The larger crank will add more off the whole rev range. You’ll have all the power you want. Your carb setup will work perfect with it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Do a 4mm setup on the engine. Definitely helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Welcome. Looking forward to the pictures. You find tons of important & correct info on this forum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. ^ I’m with stupid Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. What kinda riding are you doing? 4mm ported servals are a solid setup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Why not just build a nice motor? 4mm servals make great power and are relatively cheap compared to some of the other builds. Your already 2k in the can might as well fix it and make it your own. I’d ditch that +4 and go back to stock length. +4 would be fine for dunes and a 80-90hp motor. All other riding stock length or a -1 or 2 for mx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Nice man. I love seeing those motors in a bike like that. Wicked Motorsports made a pretty bad ass r3-z. ( r3 with a banshee motor) just remember the bigger the motor and the more power you make the more fuel it’s going to drink. Also the more smiles your gonna have riding it. A big serval or super serval motor would be a nice motor to have in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Get a temp gauge. A 4mm pump gas ported serval is great for trails and the other stuff mentioned. Make sure the motor has no air leaks, is jetted correctly and that motor will last a long time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Woods keep it stock length. Dunes +4
  12. My buddy’s alba arm got bent but they replaced it for free. I guess anyone can bend but I never had a issue with my lsr one. Luck of the draw I guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Welcome back. Engines are making more power then ever and the others already talked about the pipes. Serval cylinders are making some good numbers and still keeping that bottom end. I’ve trail ride a 10dm for a few years now and still have the bike. Kinda got tired of buying 55 gallon drums so I made a pump gas serval. Cascade is owned by different people now
  14. Your absolutely right about the added protection. Even on my pump gas serval I run those ac pro pegs with heel guards. They are just a awesome and safe piece to have on the bike. I don’t like having to kick with my heel. I’d rather start it like I would normally ( middle of foot area) and my serval is easy to kick over. Way easier then the dm for sure. Are the alba nerfs ok? Yea they are not bad. But I just wouldn’t choose them over the ac Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Your right about what nerf bars were designed for. However nerf bars are great added protection. It’s saved my feet/leg in the dunes before and also in the trails. Just because nerfs were designed for mx/xc doesn’t mean they can’t be used in other applications as I’m sure you know. Also another thing people always praised about in the past was that you could not trail ride a dm motor. Well I’ve been doing it for years now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. You’ll have to use your heel to kick it over you’ll see. Might be ok for a stock motor but the bigger ones you need room to kick that fucker over good. Plus I would never use my heel to kick over my dm motor I need the middle of my foot. Hope they workout for ya though
  17. I got 10 paddle extremes on my 421 ported pump gas serval and it does fine. +4 arm 14/44 gear. Damp sand will put that much more of a load on the motor. Combine that with some higher gearing and it will seem like a dog Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Gotcha and definitely respect that answer. Cam @ redline did my motor. I would give him a call and see what he can do for ya Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Timing is good @+4 for pump gas. Who ported it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I would keep it a pump gas motor for a playbike imo. My pump gas ported 4mm serval with a airbox and snipers is making 90/51. Exhaust port was not raised at all. Just reshaped Ect. What pipes ya running? Pods I’m assuming since your in the dunes? Who did the port job? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yes sir. I have a detailed video if you would like to see it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. IMO the old school ac propegs are still the best ones to date wether they are the all solid heel guard or nets and heal guard ( nets and heal guards are the on in the picture) no other brand has the kicking room that the ac old school pro peg does. Pegs are a good size and I’ve never seen these break. I have seen pictures of the alba ones broken before. Not sure about kicking room on the factory 43 ones. UNI made nerfs that were pretty silimar to the ac with kicking room. Glad I got my ac sets when I did. On my ac nerfs I run a long bolt through the top front motor mount and they just slide on that and use a nut and lock washer. I’ve seen a lot of people run a normal motor mount bolt then another going in which is stupid imo. I believe the bolt was 65mm long if I remember correctly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Bought one for 550. Guy thought top end was bad and took head off. Bike wouldn’t start. After going though the bike the stator wire was broke. Put top end back on and threw my spare stator I had in. Bike fired right up no prob. Jetted accordingly and put a spare coil on. Bike ran mint. That was nice flip made over 1k
