  1. Thanks guys you advice has made up my mind. Looks like im getting a a dual feed pingel
  2. So i have this idea in my head and just want to get some ideas if this will help. I have a 4 mil running on pump gas and stock carbs with a dune play port. I want to keep the stock carbs with this setup cause i like the low end and the riding in oregon on dunes dont allow me to get into high gears climbing hills. The hills are not that big. Plus i do alot of trails in the dunes and hill shoots. My theory is that with the stock carbs i will have a low to mid range hit powerband and on top it will drop off due to the carb being smaller. But if I use the dual pingel on the bike then I can keep the bowls fuller to be able to feed the carbs when the bike is more wide open. Its just a thought and wanted to see what people has to say about it. I dont want to get bigger carbs cause im not a big drag racer on the flats at all. Thanks for looking.
  3. Filters and outerwears sold. Reed spacers still for sale. Make me a offer.....
  4. I am trying to sell a set of filters that are brand new. They are not k&n filters but a off brand that ESR sells. They are brand new and still in plastic, they also come with blue ers outerwears. The size of the filter is 2.5inch inlet, I dont know what that fits. Sorry. I'm asking 45.00 for the set obo. Im also selling brand new reed spacers, never used, w/ bolts and 2 gaskets. I am only asking 20 for the reed spacers. I dont need this stuff and want it gone, so make me a offer. I live near Oceanside CA, so if you live around here let me know and we can meet or if you dont live close I can ship it to you. Thanks for looking.
  5. Looking for a set of used, new style or old style csfx silencers for my t5 pipes. thanks
  6. I got it taken care of, the domes need to be cut to 66.5mm for the cylinders instead of 66mm for the pistons. Its all good thanks guys for the advice.
  7. There is no play the motor was just build and last week and put together today. Its a brand new 4 mil crank. I took the cylinders off and looked inside with the domes and head on and there it just a tiny little lip where the domes meet the cylinders and when i say small like just can barely see it. so i put it back together and didnt bolt the head down and the pistons just barely hits the domes. So now im wondering what to do about it. I just got the domes custom cut for the pistons. so gay. well I will try to get new domes im guessing. Or it there any way i could jently sand the domes. cause like i said its a tiny bit that the piston touches.
  8. The clutch was just put together and no sound coming from that. the sound is coming from right where piston would go into the head but i pulled it apart and nothing it hitting and wierd but i hold my finger over the spark plug holes and add a little bit of compression and there is no clicking sound. so is it just cause there needs to be compression to make the click go away. I have checked it twice and the pistons dont hit the head at all. Is that sound normal on a 4 mil with cut domes or are the domes just off a little bit.
  9. So i just got my motor Back and put together. It has a 4 mil long rod in it and the domes are cut for the 4 mil crank. When I put the noss head on and tightened all the bolts down. When I turned the flywheel to move the pistons i could hear a slight click noise as the hit top dead center. Im wondering y and took the top end apart and checked the domes for any types of marks and the piston clear them just fine. So i put it back together again and still i hear a slight click noise when the piston gets to the top. My question is this just cause there is no compression to keep the pistons from moving or what. I dont have the engine in the bike just on the work bench. I have rebuilt the top end before and I guess i never paid attention to the noise. The pistons move freely and everything. Any info would be good. I may just be crazy and hearing something. Any info could help put my mind at ease. Thanks
  10. So I bought a noss head and domes for my banshee and never put them on the bike. I am selling 21cc domes since I had to get new ones for my 4 mil. The domes are still wrapped in the paper they were sent in. I know they are 65 new and sent from noss machine. im just looking to sell them for 50 to 45 bucks. If you want pictures please let me know. I also live in southern cali and if you live around here and want them let me know and I can meet you somewhere. Like I said they are brand new.
  11. I sent in Just the crankcase and the cylinders and he put in my crank. I am putting the rest of the stuff back on myself. The clutch and flywheel was all removed the crankcase all by its self. So the kit he sells and putting the crank in the engine. Just call him and he can quote you a price. Belevie me for the work he does, the prices are hard to beat and everyone that has worked with him has nothing to say but good things. if you have any more questions just ask. hope this helps.
  12. I just dropped my motor off at Kevins on the 18th of july and he called me yesterday the 25th saying it was done,. I got the 4 mill kit that he has listed on his website and cut domes. I also had to get a new clutch basket and shift shaft and the shift star mod as well. Its an amazing deal he has and working with him was so easy. I even bought the jets i need for my carb from him and knew the specs for my engine setup. I had to do all this stuff cause my banshee was worn out. I personally am very pleased with his service and just the way he worked on my engine. Believe me he did an amazing job and if you want your engine back quick, send it to him. I personally went with the 4 mil cause my crank was SHOT and I ride mostly dunes, so the extra hp helps alot. In my opinion, only cause i lived in Kings bay ga for 3 years and rode my banshee there, i would do the mx port and have your crank trued and welded. Where you ride theres not any hills or hard trails but I know this porting will open your bike up alot and you need the low end for the dirt. I did alot of shifting and I hated to play with the throttle so much riding in ga. Thats just my 2 cents. Give kevin a call and ask him. He will explain everything to you. Good luck man.
  13. Thanks man, I will go with a +4 swingarm and keep the 8 paddles for awhile. So I want to go to dune fest but I was born and raised in eugene OR but joined the marines and am down in southern cali at camp pendleton. My bike is in oregon and my engine is here with me getting rebuilt. Damn I wish i was going though. It looks even bigger this year. Hey speaking of which, you said u ride coos bay and r those dunes big at all compared to winchester bay and also do u have problems with the cops enforcing the sound regs there in coos bay. They are bad at florence when i go there. Thanks and go ducks is right. Hope they do good this year.
  14. Alright, so I mainly ride Florence and Winchester bay. I do drag race just for fun here and there, but i love to tree shoot a lot and ride the trails a lot. Before my engine needed to be worked on I had a completely stock bike with just t 5 pipes and i ran 20x10x10 8 paddle extremes and had no problem with them and stock swingarm. Well now i have a HJR build 4 mil long rod with dune/play port on stock cylinders and port match cases, pod filters and noss head with cut domes. I'm running 96 octane gas and stock front and rear sprockets. With the setup I have now, im starting to think that doing tree shots are gonna be putting me straight over on my back and I wont be able to keep the front end down. I weigh around 185, if that makes a difference. So my questions is what would you think would be the best setup for paddle tires and should i extend 2 or 4 inches on the swingarm. I don't want to go to long cause I see those guys with the plus 6 arms trying to maneuver in the deep holes and even have a hard time on tight trails. Any input would help thanks
  15. Good man, let me know what u find. For me it was that the gas that was in the engine had caused the float to stick. The bike wouldnt idle and the cylinder wouldnt even fire, but when i reved it up it ran good, but then shut right back off. another thing to check is the reeds, if its cracked then that can cause to much air and also one last thing. Make sure there is no air leaks starting from the carb to the engine. I also not only had a stuck float, but also a tiny crack that u could almost not even see on the underside of the intake boot. So from what i know that if u do have a air leak it can cause the carb from even working and not suck the gas and fuel mix into the cylinder. once i had that problem fixed it ran like a champ. Hope this helps. And do u have the stock spark plugs right? aftermarket ones, like hot or cold ones can cause it to not work right.
  16. Hey i had this happen to my banshee as well. What i found out was the float sticking and wouldnt give gas to the left cylinder and so i bought a rebuld kit and did that. both cylinders fired right up. kinda weird to check that but i tryed everything that u did. Just an idea.
  17. I ride the dunes all the time and I have t-5 pipes and am looking for a pair of cascade innovation csfx silencers so i can pass the sound check and ride without worrying about getting another ticket. The old version or the new version, doesn't matter to me as long as i can repack them and pass the test. Thanks
  18. Which setup are you talking about. Are ypu talking about the just the dune port setup?
  19. Well thank you for the input man. Here is my question for you though. If i put a 4 mil in then, I have to get bigger carbs and blaster pistons as well. Would I still be able to run 96 octane fuel. I have wanted to get a 4 mil just wanted to make sure its worth the money thats all. Would i still be able to use 21c domes and 4 degree timing or would a 4 mil change all that stuff.
  20. I did talk to Kevin, I just wanted to hear from other riders who have the setup that I am getting and who ride in the oregon sand. Thanks though.
  21. Is the dyno on herr jugs racing website, if so where at on there. Since you ride in oregon with the same setup, how do you fare again those 450s and do you have a hard time keeping the front end down. I like to ride winchester bay so the dunes there are big and even stock the front end comes up. I cant wait for my engine to get here so i can send my parts out to kevin. Thanks man
  22. Yeah i put the tors eliminator kit on when i had it rebored awhile back. Thanks for the feedback. I can beat 450s no problem even with the semi stock setup i have, i just want to leave them in the sand and maybe beat some 4 mil shees. I wonder about doing the dune port/ hillshooter even. wonder if i could run that and still use the setup i mentioned before.
