How hard is it to paint a frame with a spray gun? Never used one before, does anyone have any pointers or a first timer?

Can someone please explain to me step by step on how to remove the air filter box off of a 87 Banshee so I don't break it? Trying to get to the carbs so I can clean them which won't be a problem once I get there. First time Banshee owner just need a little help with the air filter box. Would appreciate a quick response.
