Hey guys, ive been thinking about some things and need help for some answers. Ive been riding since i was 11, and had my first banshee two years ago when i was 13yrs old. Anyways , me and my uncle about porting . Such as Port timing , and exhaust Degrees. I've been wanting to know about " What Exhaust Degree to use with a certain pipe,crank,etc.." I want to start porting engines myself, allot of you guys will say to get it done Professionally but sometimes there will be financial issues. Not only that but to have the knowledge at my age will be awesome . I know allot about these bike and about their engines, but i want to get deeper into the sport , i want to build fast bikes and learn off of them. I just need someone to give some input on port timing , and exhaust degrees. I already know benefits and all the fancy stuff about it, since ive been porting blaster cylinders to practice. I know its not all about removing cast flaws, and metal. Theres alot more to it.
Another question. Im doing an off of frame build on my banshee . Ive got a 4mil crank with 110mm rods. And some Stock jugs that are resleeved with 69mm sleeves. Jugs have a Trinity IV Port job. this setup will give me 433 cc's . Will i have to run a lockout clutch? Im going to be racing a bit but riding more trails, and Open space riding. I only weight 150 Lbs.
Also with the setup i have do i have to run blaster pistons? Or just Big bore pistons. Since i dont have longrods? All this may sound retarted to you guys but im only 15 and want to have great knowledge by the time im in my 20's lol.
Any input or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Joey.
