  1. Ok so ive finally gotten around to pulling the shee out of storage and im pulling her apart as a result of a bad crank seal and other minor fixes. The bike still makes decent compression and starts on just a few kicks when cold. Regardless of having to split the case for the crank seal im going to go ahead and do a complete re-gasket/seal throughout and I wanted to go ahead and do a hone and re-ring?? I dont have as much experience as I would like to with these things and just want to know if should just go with new rings or a whole new topend?
  2. custom welded pipes, some porting, air filter...... im just guessing but mostly stock i would presume....
  3. not bad but lets see what else you guys are runnin... lol i need some more ideas!!!
  4. pro circuits FTW!!! I wouldnt ever run anything else for what your riding
  5. ok so im lookin at gettin rid of my stock lights and really would like to do something kinda custom and want to see what all you guys have done for your lights??
  6. Im looking for a spring compressor that will work on a set of works dual rates and a rear shock and im having trouble finding one that im sure will fit... So does anybody know of one or used one that would solve my delima?? Also looking for cheap cause i just spent a fortune on the shocks .. any help will be appreciated!
  7. Ha im sold but i needa get some cash before i can do anything... What would i be looking at for the rebuilt fronts and the revalved back??
  8. Im looking into getting my back shock revalved soon so when i do that ill probably have the front ones rebuilt then too. So the question now is, who knows where i might get this done at reasonable price??
  9. I probably would but the shocks seem to be i really good condition with no leaks and they compress really smoothly and ride well but the springs have some chips and scratches in the paint on the springs. Plus i really hate the blue and white so it has to go for it to match the bike. But thanks for the advice i appreciate it and ill probably be looking into getting a spring compressor to this weekend.
  10. Ok so i just picked up a nice set of works dual rates with ressi's and the springs on them are abit worn looking and would like to paint or pc them to match my bike and was wondering how you go about removing the springs?? so if anybody can help me out it would be grealty appreciated.
  11. Thanks i was wondering if a leakdown would tell me if it was bad so ill go do that tonight and see what the deal is. But is there anything else that could be causing it to smoke so much out the right pipe if it happens to not be the crank seal??
  12. ok so my banshee has started smoking out the right side pretty bad recently and the smokes a blueish color and the silencer has oill on it so im pretty sure its the crank seal..... but the thing is i just recently had the bike all in peices and really would hate to have to split the cases to replace that one little seal Although i have heard from a few people that you can remove the old one by basically destroying it and replacing it with a different seal without the lip on it so u dont have to split the cases?? so im just wondering if anybody has done or heard of anything like this???
  13. Ok so this last Sunday a couple of my buddies and i headed up to my ranch to do some riding. When we got there the shee ran like a bat out hell and probably has never ran better in its life but for some reason when i shut it down after doing some riding she wont fire again untill it cools down?? Most of the riding i was doing was sixth gear hauling ass but never full throttle for more than a split second. Also the bike has a billet high flow impeller, water wetter, noss cool head, and the radiator is in great condition so i dont see how it was getting to hot. The plugs are a dark chocolate brown but not wet and the jetting is 330 mains 27.5 pilots, and the air screws 1 1/2 turns from seated..... The bike starts first kick every time when its cool and when its just warm but it seems if i work the bike out for abit it wont start untill it cools, but it will push start every time even when its hot??? So with all of this im freakin stumped and if anybody has any ideas it would greatly be appreciated
  14. +2 on pickup gap and check your flywheel and make sure its in good condition. p.s. had the same problem turns out i had a bad flywheel
