  1. No problem. Post some picts once you are done with your build.
  2. With the Protrax you can hit shit that would make you crash before and just ride through it! If your suspension is set up correctly, this machine will go through most technical stuff very easy. If the shocks are not set up for you, I would suggest you contact PEP, Wayne is one of the best when it comes to shocks.
  3. 49 and still riding hard! We ride Ocotillo Wells in Southern California. I still ride the same machine I used to race back in the 90s. A Laegers Protrax Banshee. I have one of the very early Laegers Framed Banshee that was built by Mark Laegers.
  4. The Laegers handles extremely well. You can turn the quad around much easier and it has no bind. I have a steering stabilizer and it makes for a smoth ride. Since this machine has so much travel with the right set up its very fast and stable. You will be inpressed on the ride. I see yours (Blaster) has a no link suspension, so not sure how that will work. Mine has the CR500 link suspension on the rear and it gets a lot of travel. Mark Laegers claimed 11 inches front and back, but I think it is actually more closer to 13 inches. Raced this machine in D38 during the Fud days. Has one overall desert race on it back in 1997.
  5. Had some requests for pictures of my ride. This was built from the ground up in 1995. Laegers Pro-Trax, T spindles, Works performance suspension, J L Swing arm, OMF Wheels, PEP Steering stabilizer. 200W stator with 12 Volt DC conversion.
  6. Been running a banshee with stock carbs, This is what I have jetting 290s pilot 25. FMF Gold series pipes, boost bottle, roost boost. Stock air box, K and N Filter. Snorkle removed. No holes in the box. Been running this set up for years. Last trip out, melted down left piston. some damage to right side also. Been trying to figure out what went wrong. Carb was clean, no debries. No air boot leaks. The only thing I found was a plugged pilot jet. Can a plugged pilot cause a meltdown at high load. Running wide open in a wash? I found the jetting guide that gives a good look or idea as to what jetting I should be running. Again been running this engine for many years. Any comments would be appreciated. Any suggestions on jetting changes? Thanks David
  7. I still have one. I built a Laegers Protrax Banshee in 95. Stil have it today and have a blast with it. No longer race but have a great time riding the deserts of Octillo wells
  8. Need to see if anyone has the link to properly wire a dual output stator. I have a 250 Watt stator with one lead putting out 150 Watts and the other putting out 100 watts. I have a one lead already wired into a rectifier and a battery. I would like to use the second output and also help with the output. Can you simply wire a second rectifier? Or does something different need to be done? When you search the forum the links that are on old qustions are no longer good. Thanks
  9. Is that with or without cables.
  10. Looking for a good thumb throttle and cables for stock carbs with tors removed. Thanks David
  11. What do you want complete with carbs, let me know I have one
  12. I have a set of older style plug. $60.00 Send me a PM if you are interested.
  13. Bump still need one anyone out there have one or know of one
