  1. Hi, I saw an old post from you (from 2018) about a front end setup. With Fox Shocks and Fireball long travel a-arms.

Do you have the extreme ground clearance LT a-arms from Fireball? I bought some of those about a year ago and now I'm finally shopping around for shocks. Do you still recommend the fox shocks? if so, what model? i think i would need 19.25" according to fireball website.

also, what do you recommend for a rear shock? i have a +4 swingarm.

I'm also in san diego. and i pretty much only ride in glamis. basically a duner. i do not drag race at all.

    i appreciate any input. thanks!

I don't have the EGC arms, I have their previous generation arms which I prefer. Both take 19.25" shocks. I have run every major brand front shock you can name on mine and like the floats the best. The Gen 3 Fox Floats RC2 are the good ones. I wouldn't run the nonadjustable "stick" Fox Floats.

I custom built a Podium rear shock setup for an LT Elka link on mine. If money is no object that is the best combo I've ever ridden. If you'd like to save cost the stock rear shock can be setup for your arm and weight or you can go any aftermarket shock. Most important is making sure the shocks you get are setup for you. Let me know if I can help.

  2. Need help... I just put my top end back together. All new base gaskets and new head gasket. Motor is completely stock, with a stock head. Torqued down everything to 20ft/lbs. In the order specified in the Clymer Manual. Added radiator coolant and saw that coolant is seeping out of the head. I haven't put in any tranny oil. Checked the trany oil drain plug and it is dry. So I'm pretty confident no coolant got into the case. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Would it be okay to drain the coolant, take off the head, inspect it, and re-use the head gasket. Or am I gonna need a new head gasket? I would hate to have to buy antoher gasket locally. They charge an arm and a leg. But I'm trying to get this fixed by Thursday for a glamis trip, so I guess if I have too, I'll suck it up and buy a new gasket at the premium price... Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
  3. I acutally ended up using you guys. I had my A-arms, axel, and tie rods done not too long ago. Everything came out really well! Thanks again! I'm sure I'll use you guys when I'm ready to build my 250r.
  4. I just finished my frame. It's candy blue with a sparkle silver base. So is the axel carrier and a few other parts. I also did the lower arms and swingarm sparkle silver. I hope to have it all put together within a few weeks. I still need to find the cheapest place to get fullbores. I think I want to go with silver plastics.
  5. Thanks! I'll post some pics once it's all done.
  6. Hi All, New to the forums. Actually I've been lurking for the past few months. I decided to finally overhaul my Banshee. Powdercoat and chrome is complete. Thinking of going with White or Silver plastics. Anyone know the cheapest place to get Fullbores? I would appreciate it. The cheapest I've found so far have been on ebay. Thanks!
  7. Hi All! New to the forums. Cleaning up my Banshee with some powdercoat and chrome. Does anyone have any reccomendations for chrome plating in the San Diego area? Planning on chrome plating my upper A-Arms, tie rods and axel. Any idea how much this should cost me? I don't have any experience with getting stuff chromed. Thanks!
