  1. Alright then, I'll get a regulator on order. I looked them up & outside of calling Yamaha, all I can find are aftermarket regulators. Any brands I should look for/stay away from? If no ideas, I'll just call Yamaha. It'll cost quite a bit more I'm sure but buy once, cry once. Should be done right the first time, thank you both for the info!
  2. What's going on? I just got this '06 Banshee all stock with the exception of Trinity Stage 4 pipes & Trinity 2-1 filter. When I first checked it out all the lights worked as they should but after the third ride they all burnt out. I had a friend come into town & let him use it for transportation (ALL dirt roads here, legal to ride on all roads all the time), I replaced all bulbs so he wouldn't get pulled over, later that night they all burned out again & he got pulled over. Any ideas what might be going wrong? I'm about to rip this bike apart & restore it (not taken care of well) & if you guys could give me some pointers on what to look for I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
  3. Thanks for the replies. I live in a very small town (every road together = 62 miles/5,000 people) & choices are VERY limited We do not have the grill/stove paint. What I'm interested in is the temp range I can use. Does anyone know how hot these pipes can get so I know what to look for? Thank you.
  4. What's going on? I want to paint my ugly ass stock pipes to at least get rid of the rust (will sand down first). My local Napa has high temp paint but different temp ranges. I would just get the highest but I don't know if it's enough. I can't remember what temp ranges they have but what would be a good range for them? My bike is all stock if that helps. Thank you.
  5. What's going on? I'm about to switch up my color scheme but need a different seat cover to do so. Anyone have a black seat cover they want to get rid of? I'm not interested in the entire seat because shipping would be a lot (I live in Alaska). I may be interested in other colors, on the Banshee I'm going either white/red/black or red/black. Let me know what you have & what you want for it(shipping included please). I have a black/blue stock seat cover that I'd do a partial trade for if interested. Thank you.
  6. Did your lines come out clean or did you have to sand? I ask because it sounds a bit much. Thanks.
  7. What's going on? On iTouch so will keep short. I'm looking to cut my front fenders, what is the best tool for the job? Thank you.
  8. Thank you, you're the man. Turns out it's not an '04 but an '01. Wish I had done the research first, could have got some cash on top of the trade. My Murdercycle was an '01 also but with the exception of a few bend marks in the plastic & a dent in the pipe, it was pristine & ran like new. Oh well, I have more fun on the Banshee anyway. Thanks again.
  9. Thanks to you guys I found out how to tell the year of my bike & now I just need to fine the damn serial #. I did some looking but didn
  10. Acctually my vent tude is really long & gets twisted up sometimes. I'll cut it to size so it's good. Thanks for the info.
  11. Will do. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for the info.
  12. Thank you for the quick reply. I will check everything just to see but when I came home for lunch I tried it & it fired right up. I have no engine mods. Don't know the elevation but the guy that owned it before me knows his shit, the bike runs good (except for his problem) No idea what it's jetted at because I just got it & haven't got in to it yet. I know the difference between rich & lean. It's more on he lean side but not enough to do any damage. I run 32:1 Yamalube. Could be he filter, it's pretty dirty. When I turn the gas on it does run through the line fast. I didn't run through any water or mud before the problem but because we have only dirt roads, it's always very dusty. I'll check compression when I can. I need to borrow the tester from a buddy. I checked the spark when I first got it & it's got pleny of it. Thank you again.
  13. Holy balls man, 60:1? How does it run? Is Bel-Ray thinner than Yamalube? I ask because like myself, most riders I know up here run 32:1 Banshee or dirt bike. I know one guy that runs 40:1 to be safe & his runs pretty damn rich. I know some guys that run 20:1 if their racing but that comes with a rebuild after. I'm actually running Polaris mixing oil (little thicker/better for the colder summer months here) at 32:1 right now & mine runs like a dream.
  14. Thanks man, I'll give it a try when I get home. Where in Jersey are you from? I'm originally from Ridgewood, now in Alaska. Actually just went back to visit family after being away for 20 years. Damn, that woud make me feel old but I was only 5 when we left.
