  1. i have mine mounted on top of radiator cover, got a lot of friends liking the shots i get. only thing is i get a wave look in video when sitting an idling, vibration from shee i guess.
  2. well i don't have tors so will not be posting about them, but when i can i will definately check things out on the throttle cable. someone had told me also that because i changed compression, that maybe the reason for the adjustment.
  3. thanks everyone for there help and input. I did talk to dave noss and he also gave me somethings to look at. my throttle cable wasn't hanging up but i did find my slides where not closing all the way. what does not make sense is i ran the slides where they were for 4 yrs w/ stock head no problems. put the noss head on and had to lower slides all the way down. runs great now!!!!! awesome site tyler and great people on here.
  4. can someone tell me when changing your compression how does the shee run if your running the wrong size domes and octane? i believe i saw on here also that you do not have to make any adjustments to the carbs when installing a noss head, right?
  5. Thanks guys, checked o-rings and look good. Question though, where do the brass washers go?
  6. thanks guys!!!!! but i believe i found the issue-vaccum leak. see coolant leaking around one of the head bolts. pulled back off, put back on and still same issue. definately see coolant leaking, still.
  7. need a little help, i just installed a noss cool head w/ 19cc domes. now when i start the shee, it revs high. it does not rev higher and higher, it revs high and stays there. my mods are bored .040 over, pc pipes, +4 timing, elevation is about 800 ft above sea level. I pulled head back off and checked placement of all o-rings and all where in place. any thoughts as to why now i rev high?
  8. i run @ 50:1 w/out any problems and mine seems to like it better than 40:1
  9. 1) What type of aftermarket exhaust do you have? procircuit w/ 304 silencers 2) What type of airfilter do you have? k&n pods 3) Are you a)running a stock airbox with lid stock airbox with NO lid c) Stock airbox with vents d) no airbox at all: d 4) What is your elevation? 600-800 5) What size pilot jets are you using? 48 6) What size main jets are you using? 152 7) What temperature is your Banshee jetted for? 80's or so 8) Do you have a port job? yes, clean up port 9) What kind of carbs? keihin pwk 10) What size carbs? 28 -also i'm 1 turn out on air screw and running w/ +4 timing
  10. want to thank everyone for there input but found the problem. after mannnny hrs of searching on here found the emergency brake was the cause. have to say loven this site!!!
  11. well i checked the floats and one was off by about a mil, readjusted it and still no good. i tapped on the float bowls and no help either. i went from 270 to 260 main and that didn't even show a little difference. i did notice that up to about 1/8 it does rev but then bogs down any further than that. question is could the tors or rev limiter cause this? or any other ideas or thoughts?
  12. i really don't know about that, this is a friends that i'm working on.
  13. need some input, all i did was cleaned the carbs and now its getting too much fuel. kicks over on 1st try, idles just fine but as soon open up throttle bogs down and its that way all the way to the wot. pull choke out and wont even want to start. i pulled the plugs out to check them and they are soak w/ fuel. the mods on the bike are toomey t6, air pods, i know the main is at 270. i doubled checked everything and seems everything is put back together right, i didn't mix the slides or tors, the carb crossover hose is on. just has me baffled cause the bike did not have this issue until i cleaned carbs and put back on.
  14. gotta love the internet, found what i needed. didn't know that toomey's where sent w/ there own special jet kits.
  15. hope someone can help. i bent one of the needles when trying to remove the slide from the carb. i looked to see if it was stamped on the needle as to what needle it was, and there is nothing. can someone help so i can find the right replacement, like how to determine what size. the bike was jetted for t-6's, has air pods and no other mods. im definately thinking its an aftermarket needle than stock only cause its like candy apple red. i would greatly appreciate any help possible or to send me in the right direction.
