  1. Heres my shee, k&n pods VF3's ported cyl FMF pipes & silencers 150 PSI Did leak down and held 6 psi good. Stock carbs 70 F temp @ 700 ft ASL My question is, if your main jet gets to big, will a banshee always want to spit and sputter / not want to get into powerband? I know on my cr250 if the air filter gets too dirty or the main jet gets to big it wont want to get into the powerband at all. Ive gone from 270 main to 390 main and I cant tell a friggin difference. The shee ALWAYS gets into the powerband at the same rate regardless of what I have done to jetting. Im trying to figure out where it wants to be on jetting but it seems like no matter what I do, it always runs the exact same lol The current jetting is 32.5 pilot air screw at 1 1/2 turns out, clip on middle notch w/ stock needle, 270 main. I had 27.5 pilot in, but had to turn the screw all the way in to keep it from bogging at 1/8 throttle. (I didnt have a 30 pilot and the 32.5 seems to work fine) From what I have read my main should be around 340, but no matter what jets I have in it doesnt seemto make much a difference. What do you guys think?
  2. huh.....sounds like they need to be replaced with VF3's......... :yelrotflmao: :thanks:
  3. What the heck do stock reeds look like? Every 2-stroke reed I have ever seen just has one piece of plastic covering the hole. (the hole that the reeds cover in the reed mount....lol convoluted...) The reeds I just took out of my banshee have one big plastic piece with a rectangular hole cut out of them with a smaller piece of plastic covering that smaller hole....are these stock? They look like these.... http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...%3D105%26um%3D1 Are these stock? If not are they any good?
  4. lol.....ya, ill give you that one lol I was thinking of zip lock bags.....if those are even made by Glad.....lol
  5. Everyone IS a dealer. You can go to their website and pay $10 a year to become a dealer. I do not sell AMS oil. If there was a different oil on that list that ended up better I would most likely switch if it was readily available. It was done by a 3RD PARTY, doing ASTM standardized tests. This is the equivalent to doing EPA stack testing. But hey, like I said, I am not here to sell you anything. Just wanted to show you guys this. Don't get mad, get glad...
  6. I know this topic comes up a lot. So, just to clear any arguments up. Here is a 3rd party study of different oils. I have always used AMS oil, I guess I will continue to do so. Here is the link.... http://www.amsoil.com/products/streetbikes/WhitePaper.aspx If you simply skim over it, you wont gain much. If you take a little bit of time to read it, it really explains a lot. My job is done.....discuss  P.S. Here is a link to the discussion on the same topic, from the Dirt Bike forum I frequently visit. http://www.allthingsmoto.com/forums/f-231/...cle-oils-43484/ Have a good one.....
  7. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2372309 Heres my ride - I know, car domain is for 14 year olds. I did this a couple years ago. Since then, the cars has gotten 4.56 gears with a new auburn locker. I never did run the bird down the track with the nitrous. I put it in my garage and its been sitting there since. I have no passion for it whatsoever. I would sell for $6,000, If I could even get that for it. I need to take some pictures of the motor. All the aluminum pully's and chrome looks nioce... Last time I took it down the track I got 12.6 at 107. That was with 3.73 gears. To say the least, it launched like a 75 hp ford escort lol. I would have to assume with the new gears it would be in the elevens. The aluminum Brodix heads are probably worth more then the car lol Yep I lied, I just went and checked. There is only one piece of chrome lol. It's just a clean engine compartment with the cool red and blue fittings etc.....
  8. Already have tried both those jets. It bogged real bad when I first would take off. The bog isnt there anymore with the 35's. The 360 main was to lean, on a WOT run the plugs started to get kind of white.
  9. I know I know, I keep hearing those jets are huge. I did a carb spray test for air leaks but found none. Its happy with the jets except for the break up before the PB...
  10. Pods with outerwears Boyseen reeds FMF fattys port and polish on the jugs +4 timing 380 Main, 35 pilot. Like I said, the bike runs great before the break up and after the break up. I thought maybe the bike was trying to clear itself out before it got into the powerband, but I moved the c clip to the top position and didn't change anything. I am thinking that the bike wants more fuel.
  11. I don't mean to steal anyone's thread but I want to confirm something...... If it breaks up at 3/4 throttle its a lean condition? I get engine break up right before the powerband. Before the break up and during the powerband it runs great.....its just at that certain rpm range before the power band it starts to break up. What I have tried is move the needle clip to the top position. Thought maybe it was trying to clear itself out, it didnt change anything. I will move it to the bottom and see if that helps. As long as your saying a break up is from a lean condition. Is this correct?
  12. Sounds good. Ill give you a call after work. You still open after 4 pm? N/m, I could just quit being lazy and look at your site...lol
  13. Perfect, give me the mods and ill send my money to you lol I don't have any problem ordering from a sponsor, but if I do have to order from more then one place and pay multiple shipping fees. That gets ugly.... lol Anyways, what mods are you referring to that are "cheaper"? Thanks for the help.
