  1. I think you have your carbs mixed up with your beer hand lol
  2. I went with HJR. Kevin is awesome he always answers the phone or calls you right back and when he sold us ours he said just clean it up.
  3. its rare for me to disagree with Ayesully but I would go with 33 pwks because you can grow into them and not be over carbed. I ran 33's with a build like yours and it ran great. now I run a 4 mill bored to max (412) and the carbs are not to small.
  4. you can run your tors. and you can get a jet kit from toomy they have the better needle's. with a stock motor with t5 pipes at sea level is 290-300 and those numbers are right from toomy . if you use the toomy instructions ( found on web site) it will help you.
  5. You can see in the top end if you remove the carbs and reeds.
  6. I would look to see if a wire has come off the generator but you will need to remove the stator. but as Ayesyully said you can check it with a ohm meter without removing it. that happen to me on a weekend ride lucky I had my tool to remove stator. funny thing is the guy camping next to us had it happen on his yz 250 and told me to check it and bam that was it. quick and easy fix thanks to my fellow rider just glad I had my meter and tool on me.
  7. Let me give you something to look for. I bought mine new from dealer rode it one time then put on the Toomey t5 kit all was good, 4 weekends later the motor locked up. as I pulled it apart I started finding sand within. long story short the stock air filter foam ring rolled up at the bottom as the filter was slid down into the air box that was the last time the stock box was on my shee
  8. Any one running E85 instead of race fuel? I was thinking of changing domes and running it. I think you must use a bean oil though?
  9. first thing I would do is leave that communist country of cali. I would not buy a bike I could not ride. so ride it. if it has pipes it should have no trouble ripping the front wheels off the ground in second gear on black top, 3 gear as well if your near seal level. check the plugs for silver specks if you see silver specs that is a sign of a lean motor. check the compression as Ayesully said but keep in mind that a good used stock motor would be lucky to see a 100 psi at 4000 feet above seal level. a new fresh bore wont see 100 psi at 5500 feet. And if in doubt take many pic's and post them here.
  10. 17. we are gearing up for the season. have not nailed down dates yet but when i do i will post them.
  18. PS there is leaches in the lake so if you do go swiming in it do check your self when you get out
  19. i live 2 hours from st anthonys and make many trips there during the season. befor i moved here i lived in hesperia CA 1 1/2 hours from dumont and made many trips there. you could hide dumont in st anthonys. it does not have a comp hill that truns into a big party like dumont. but there is plenty of racing on the busy weekends at crapo hill and choke cherry. to give you a idea of how big and steep choke is, a stock honda 400 ex or a stock 250 2 stroke 2 wheeler with a 200 lbs rider will not make it up. we will be making are firts trip soon, have not set a date yet wating on a friend from las vegas to set his date but i will post all trips we make. and i will take a gps this time and post the cords to the things you will want to see. if you have any questions or need help feal free to pm me.
  20. need more info on your mods but sounds like the switch in the thumb throtle if you change your carbs or remove your tors then that switch will not let it idel pull the plug apart that goes to the switch and put a jumper wire in there to complete the circut then just plug it back in to hold the jumper wire in place
  21. we will be going to st anthonys. so if anyone would like to come by and say hi we will be there.
