  1. Here is Hinson's website and you'll notice that the Banshee system is aluminum. It might be just me, but Hinson has a lot of experience in this field and I'll trust what they are saying. http://hinsonracing.com/product/complete-billetproof-conventional-clutch-kit-yamaha-yfz350-banshee-8-plate-1987-2006/ Most all the factory teams in MX and SX use Hinson and swear by them.
  2. I heard somewhere you need double walled steel wheels to work with that basket. You can't keep the power down without them.
  3. Wow! Over 10K invested and he only wants 3500?? That has to be a misprint. Everyone knows a stock suspension banshee is rare nowadays.
  4. A friend of mine had a Maico that did that. Turned out the timing was messed up from the flywheel.
  5. 75hp on a basically stock configuration? Or are the jugs ported?
  6. Basically the good people always lose out. If you act right and be respectful trouble doesn't find you, but there are people out there that don't get that part of the sport.
  7. Don't forget the powder coated shock springs. Those really make a difference.
  8. Had it on mine and it made a difference. Hit nice at the low end and broadened out the curve nicely.
  9. Look at any 80's or 90's 2 stroke motocrossers from the Big 4. Case Reed induction was ultra efficient which is why a stock YZ250 made around 50 hp. Even more amazing is a YZ125 which makes somewhere around 40 stock. Both are case reed induction engines. Less restriction and no fuel pooling in the valleys on those. The powervalve also was a huge factor in the curve and delivery of power.
  10. Okay, lets first figure out the basic layout first. Is this a case reed engine? Case volume matters a lot on a case reed engine btw.
  11. I had good luck with Pro Circuits but my setup worked okay with them. I didn't try others so I wouldn't know what is the actual best but I was happy with what I had. Like everyone else has posted, its all on the setup and all the good ones are listed in this thread.
  12. When do we get to see some pics of your work CLRKaw26?
  13. Also, spend money on reeds. VForce 4 is you still have the stock reeds. A good reed block will help that out some.
  14. Budget Performance is a myth when you own a banshee. If you want it to be fast you are going to have to either learn to remove the metal from the cylinders yourself or pay someone who has done it a lot more times. Since your bottom end is done and want it wild buy a Cub cylinder setup and some 35 mil carbs and some decent pipes. She'll be fast then. Of course, it won't be a lot of fun on trails but how fast can you go on those anyway?
  15. There are great ideas out there on some really cool builds for off roads toys. This however, isn't one of them.
  16. Been looking for one of those for like 3 or 4 years now. I'm all over this.
  17. Pictures don't do this one justice. Definitely a clean machine. GLWS JD.
  18. John, I am feeling pretty lucky about now............. Get a full skid plate for your next arm on that thing.
  19. Good seeing everyone and despite issues with my quad I still thought it was worth the trip and can't wait to be back.
  20. Weather Report: Some showers over night with low wind and a rising barometer throughout the day on Saturday with a high in the Mid 60s. The rain will keep the dust down since it will be less than a 1/4 inch total. This should be an awesome day for riding.
  21. Seen your 450R and it looks sick! Mine needs powder to be done.
  22. No, what happens every ride is like we have 12-15 on a list and only 4 or 5 show up.
