  1. Our head flows perfectly. The coolant enters and exits by a hose that has a certain diameter. 9/16 diameter i.d. if I remember correctly. Our flow ports are divided among the combustion chamber and the cylinder walls for perfect flow. If you look closely at the openings of our water ports and measure them you will find the area to be slightly larger than the area of intake and exit hoses. No other head I have seen has that attention to the size of the ports but they all allow too much flow in the combustion area. Allowing too much there means not enough down into the cylinder walls. Jerry
  2. I think motors are electric and engines are fueled? Jerry
  3. I don't want to be antagonistic because I surely need my customers but I want to be fair to Kevin as well. If Kevin ported your cylinders and you had squish of .066 and you even changed domes with no change. How was Kevin at fault in that? Honest question and maybe I am not following the situation correctly. Jerry
  4. The points I made were very clear and correct. If I were interested in bashing people or businesses there are no shortage of ones who have it coming. I do not because nobody is perfect. My following point is also valid. My belief is Kevin should be on here personally because forums really put a hurt on small businesses or they really help them. Mistakes are made and maybe someone is not real good at communicating. Jerry
  5. My good friend Race ride live, it seems that Kevin should get on here not to defend himself but simply explain how in the future he will address customers concerns. Kevin is a great dealer of mine and so are my other dealers. Right or wrong Kevin surely needs to get on here himself and make amends even if he does not agree. It amazes me still to this day how sincere apologies make a difference. Many times I have offered an apology when it was clearly not my fault. I have done so when it clearly was. What I have learned in business is that all though there is no parking spot for my boss I still have one. Actually I have thousands and they are customers. Jerry
  6. At some point this is just too much. It is quite likely that each sponsor here, myself included, has failed at customer service. We want to offer the best product at a "better price". There are failures that come with that learning curve. I certainly have had some. Let me give one small example that makes a big difference. I sell a gas cap vent on ebay for $2.50 and of course this is a china product. We make all our products but this little one. We offer this at just above cost as a means of building a greater customer base for our own products. A guy bought one and asked me 3 days in a row about when it would be there. He left negative feedback because he thought on the third reply that I was kissing his but. Negative feedback has a real impact on my ability to make a living. It sure seems like some people on here are taking this to an extreme. We need to move on. Kevin did not steel any person's first born. It is more likely that he has had the same experience as I have and other sponsors and builders. Banshee suck!!! They constantly drain money out people's pockets and that is why I am in business. When I was younger and tried to learn-do it myself I burnt a motor up 4 times before putting 2 hours on it. Trust me I am not the only one who does that. Pistons and gaskets are a goldmine for banshee dealers. Personally I hate forums because they are necessary! I refuse to text and have never done it although in my shop is every sort of cool technology you can ask for. Give me 80 horses pulling a wagon and a rifle and a hoe and I am good to go. Make my nearest neighbor 20 miles away and I am good! I AM VOUCHING FOR KEVIN HERR AND IN FACT I AM GOING TO PURCHASE SOME MORE CYLINDERS AND SEND THEM TO HIM. I TRUST HIM COMPLETELY. I also trust all the other sponsors on here. I know some of the few here who are very vocal about him are good customers of mine and hope they remain so. Sometimes it is our fault that we don't get our banshees right. I know nothing of these wsm cranks but I have heard of bad hot rods cranks, bad twister cranks, bad vito's cranks etc. I have also learned that almost any link in the powertrain can effect and damage about any other link. I have also heard of how hot rods cranks have improved. I have heard and know for a fact that Vito's cranks are NOW as good and better than current hot rod cranks. On some things there truly are people with inside information. There are a few dealers of banshee parts and a few banshee engine builders and they most all try to do the best work. Kevin certainly has worked hard at building a good business and does not need a couple disgruntled customers make it seem like they are many. How about a little forgiveness here guys and let's move on. thanks Jerry
  7. 6061 T6511 is not an inferior aluminum for this application. The exact product we use is also an enhanced version of your standard run of the mill 6061 t6511. We use a very deep penetrating true Hard Coat anodizing as well and that is very important. We have made baskets for other applications with this material and it simply lasts. It also good to point out that all the other good clutch baskets, except Mattoon, use 6061 t6511. Some of them use lesser tempers than t6511 but not the good baskets. Cost is more but not so much that it was a deciding factor. These baskets will not fail. If though there are enough people who just can't accept that we may have to use 7075 on the next run. It won't be because of failures but because everyone has a boss. Even I do, it is you, the customer! As always these baskets are guaranteed! I see you are a loyal customer Strm Trpr and thank you! Jerry
  8. We are using a 6061 t6511 that has a yield of 44,000 psi. We have made baskets for other high horsepower bikes for past customers using the same stock from the same mill and with this hard anodizing and have been very happy with them.
  9. The bushings are custom made for us to our specs. They are stronger than all but Mattoon as far as durometer. Durometer of Mattoon is barely higher. Tensile strength is greater with ours than any others. This is the most important spec.
  10. I believe all 8 plates require a modified pressure plate. The teeth on the basket are a little taller then wiseco and the such just as Mattoon baskets are.
  11. You can not make it any lighter then we did and an aluminum back plate is a recipe for disaster. As far as springs there is no need. They do not add anything but weight and extra cost.
  12. The back plate here is not aluminum it is 4130 high alloy tool steel. The above comment about breaking steels and fibers with that particular basket is not referring to mine because I just made these.
  13. 8mm bolts about the same size as 5/16 and equivalent to grade 10.
  14. We have them listed on ebay and they are NICE!
  15. We have had almost every combination available on our shop bikes. Everything from Vito's Billet cylinders to cub to serval to dm. We never had a drag race setup on our shop bikes but close. In the trails nothing compares to a properly setup 2 into 1 in my OPINION. All 3 of our shop bikes are setup now with 2 into 1 intakes. All 38 pwk carbs. One on a 4mm serval clean up porting and 2 into 1 shearer pipes. One on a 4mm serval with fmf pipes. One on stock cylinder ported for trails and fmf pipes. The 2 into 1 serval cleaned port and 2 into 1 shearer pipes has an unbelievable 4 stroke torque feel in the woods. We have a raptor 700 shop bike as well and you would be surprised how close the feel is to that one in the woods. You will always be a couple horse below a 2 carb setup but the pull is untouchable. We make and sell them all so for me it is unbiased as it gets. Jerry
  16. All I noticed was that super duper sweet Chariot Trans support and cover! I also noticed some grey wiskers!
  17. We have all of our intakes on ebay and you will be very happy with the quality and performance. Jerry
  18. Guaranteed, these cylinders will perform exactly as Lane says they will. Most already know but for those who don't Lane has been in the thick of banshee building for many years. He knows exactly what works and what does not. He knows what will last and what will not. I will have a pair of these cylinders on one of our shop bikes for sure.
  19. Just return it and buy ours or some else's that fits with stock studs. You can add $100 to the cost if you need a machine shop to mill out the broken studs.
  20. We have them listed on ebay. Our billet tops with Mikuni rubber boots fits perfectly. thanks Jerry
  21. Our clearance throttle is the 38 model and it will out do the Honda throttle hands down for fatigue relief. We are only clearancing them because the 41 is the same but opens to 41.
  22. All of our throttles help with thumb fatigue. We have three models. The largest "original" will open a 49mm carb and though it helps with thumb fatigue it can not as much as a Honda throttle. Note that a Honda throttle will not open many of the large carbs needed for a banshee. Our second model is the 41 and it opens to a 41 carb and our third a 38 carb. These two models are easier on the thumb than a Honda throttle. If you are not certain about that then put on the extended lever that ships with it and then it is undeniable. We also have adjustability to put the thumb lever in any position you want. We have adjustability to take up slack in the cable which no one else has. Even if put on the bike and you don't like it you can return it for a full refund. Jerry
  23. We have all black and all chrome throttles that open to a 38mm carb on ebay at a clearance price. None of our dealers have ever carried these beause they only open to 38 carb. They are the same as our new style that opens to 41 but the inside lever is different. Same thumb relief. They won't last too long. Jerry
  24. We have thumb throttles listed on ebay that none of our dealers has ever carried because they only open to 38 carb. We have a few left and have put a clearance price on them. All black and All chrome. They are the same design as our new style that opens up to 41 carb but lever inside only allows up to 38 on the clearance. They also work on 450's and raptors. These offer the best thumb fatigue relief as the 41 throttles. Find them listed on ebay under *clearance* chariot.
