  1. lol and why would it have to come from fast, when you get it straight from noss? also dont bhq members get a discount from noss? im pretty sure i did when i bought my last one
  2. I would like to hear from people that have used one of these. They look to be one piece, is this true? do they accept noss domes and o-rings? Do they have any bad points? thanks, mark
  3. i am making my own domes and thought i might be able to find a $50 head shell on here. im a cheap ass lol
  4. can u show me a pic of the used head please?
  5. Hey guys I need a bare cool head, no domes required. Dont really care what it looks llke as long as it is functional and flat. Prefer noss but anything will do. Thanks, Mark
  6. Actually try here first: www.coppergaskets.us
  7. you should wait for the new sniper assasins, check em out in the sponsor spotlight section
  8. Tony Doukas does banshee copper head gaskets down to 10 thou, you should see if they can do an RZ one for you...
  9. hey Jim its Mark from australia. can you clean out your pm's please, me and the guys are trying to get in contact with you. thanks, mark
  10. I emailed athena to try and give me some specs on the cylinders, as I am interested if they are not drag racing port timings... They refused to tell me anything, and I quote "we can assure you that no other manufacture would divulge such specifications" so I sent them the port map that cp industries has for all their cubs on their website lol, still yet to get an email back...
  11. I have a friend who cuts the stock pipes along all the welds and guts all the restrictive stuff out of the pipes... you should see whats in there it looks like the inside of a silencer, all perforated sheet against the walls of the pipe. It makes a BIG difference, he has done about 6 sets now for all his buddies... I will try to get some pics for you hes half way through doing another set. On our local dyno (low reading) a well tuned banshee with his stock cut pipes and a filter made 42hp... no shaved head, no advanced timing, nothing... same bike made 45hp with fmf fatty pipes on it... i would love to do an ultimate sleeper as well. cut stock pipes, 4mm crank, ported, rechambered head. +6 timing, bored stock carbs and cut holes everywhere in the airbox. run it on race gas and spend alot of time tuning it. you would beat so many bikes it wouldnt be funny...
  12. ill def take the $10 ones and may even take the $50 one pending pics. You both have pm
  13. Does anyone have any junk cylinders they want to let go real cheap? Maybe something that needs a sleeve or is otherwise damaged? Thanks, Mark
  14. Hey guys my mate David has just got his Passion stroker motor going, and since he doesn't get on the net much he wanted me to get on here and tell you all how good it is. Here is what he had to say: " I cannot say a better word about Jim Smart at Passion Racing Engines, he has built me one hell of a motor, and is a nice guy as well. It all started about 6 weeks ago when I ran my '09 banshee out of fuel and nipped it up. I already have an '06 with a light port job, pipes, head and timing plate... so I decided to turn my '09 into a weapon, with a 4mm crank and a proper port job. I talked to Jim and he asked me my weight, riding style, and I told him what pipes (DMC Alien) and fuel (98 RON pump) I wanted to run. Inside of 6 weeks I had sent Jim the cylinders, and he ported them, painted them, and sent them back along with all the parts I needed to complete the build (crank, carbs, manifold, domes, pingle, clutch, gaskets etc...) I am in Australia so that is an awesome turn-around time. I spoke many times with Jim on the phone and he helped us get the jetting spot on. I now have over 4 hours on the engine and it is an absolute ball-tearer! The throttle response is great, makes awesome power through-out the rev range and has an evil top end. All this and only crappy 98 RON pump fuel.. we are only running 21cc domes and +4 timing... I cant wait to try some decent fuel and more timing and compression down the track!" So there ya go. I have ridden this thing and it is almost too fast for around David's cane farm where he does alot of riding. Take it down the beach though and it is unreal. We went down on the weekend and there wasn't a quad that could touch it in a drag race, and it also ran neck and neck with a built YZ450F two-wheeler. The same two-wheeler was beating a well tuned stockish CR500AF later in the day... This is now the third motor that us North Queenslander's have gotten Jim to build, and we wouldn't get anyone else to do our work. Jim has always looked after us and spent many hours on the phone at all hours of the night talking to us and helping us understand and tune the engines. You cannot go wrong sending your cylinders to Passion Racing Engines. Give him a call on (918) 272-5665 or (918) 232-3950. Around 7pm his time is the best time to get him. Thanks, Mark
  15. papa_smurf have you asked jim himself? he was really helpful with my 12 port RZ and my buddies 7mm Trex that he built for us, and we are on the other side of the world (australia) sometimes he would be on the phone to us until midnight his time helping us dial the bikes in... seems like there is alot of happy passion 12 port owners on here, good to see! jim is a great engine builder with excellent after sales service. sometimes he can be hard to get hold of or take a little long to do an engine, but its only because he is so busy, and it is definitelty worth the wait in the end! another buddy of mine is currently waiting on his new passion 12 port 4mm stroker set up to be delivered. its going into his '09. we went with a mild set up on pump gas, 33s and DMC alien pipes, for an all round play bike, should be fun cant wait! mark
