  1. Gotta watch those razorbacks!!!! Hurry up and heal man.
  2. A couple of us where riding our bides along a long, wide dirt road. I was in the lead ( of course), and started to back off. I slowed down, and drifted to the edge of the road. I looked behind me, and could only see a wall of dust, and suddenly like out of a movie came one of the other guys at full blast of his banshee. He hit the brakes and started to slide toward me, and I tried to turn out of his way, but he was moving so fast he hit the right rear of my bike, bending my stock axle. I watched in horror as his bike went end over end at over 50 mph shooting him over 50 feet away. His bike was totalled, bent frame, twisted axle, smashed fenders (they where brand new), bent wheels, bent a-arms, and more the eye cant see. He walked away bruised (he had full riding gear) and we had to trailer the bikes. Of course there allways has to be a silver lining, now I needed to get a new axle, and a new durablue is the same price as a stock, aww darn.
  3. I run the cool head with 19cc domes, toomey t5 (soon to be t6) pipes, and a mean port job. I run a 50/50 mix, and water wetter. I live in AZ, and have not had a single problem with overheating. I flush the radiator once a year. Toomeys are the only way to go as far as pipes go. They provide the best power, and they offer a trade in whenever they come out with new pipes. The cool head, is another great bolt on performance and cooling part. Once you start to modify, you cant stop.

  5. Allways, allways wear a helmet. Drinking and operating anything is deadly. Every year at glamis there are on average 15 deaths due to alcohol and stupidity. Remember the liquid courage is just that, false courage. It gives people the idea they can do things they cannot. I have been a deputy sheriff, and see it all the time. We can all have fun and still ride responsible. The worst last year was the father and son coming down olds in their rail, and a drunk come over the whoops right at them in a big funco, hit the father and son's rail so hard the metal sheared right off, and decapitated them. No good.
  6. Plastic is one of the hardest abjects to paint. Different brands of paint require, and often want you to use their products for prep. Remember the quality of the paint job depends on the quality of the prep. Your gun will work, but check the paint you are using to check if it is compatible with an hvlp gun. Primer is a big factor, you generally want to use a very flexible primer, such as urethane. PPG, Dupont, and House of Kolor make excelent primers you can use yourself. Remember take your time, ask the manufactures lots of questions. I havn't painted a bike yet, but have done several hot rods.
  7. I have a friend who powdercoats for a living, and he says to not sandblast it, but remove everything. If you do this they can prep it, and coat it right. He quoted me and did a friends raptor for 200. You cant beat powdercoat, it won't flake off, and if it chips, it does't grow.
